Donate Computer Hardware

Motor City Free Geek accepts computers and computer related hardware in any condition, so bring your stuff over to us, regardless of whether it is functional or not.

Motor City Free Geek accepts nearly everything that plugs into a computer or an electrical outlet. We are happy to accept your printer, scanner, router, UPS, digital camera, PDA, cell phone, and a whole lot more!  As a Michigan nonprofit organization, your donation to Motor City Free Geek may be tax deductible.

Some donated equipment will have a negative cash value. Perhaps the equipment is unsuitable for refurbishing, and will require a costly effort to recycle responsibly. In these cases, we ask for a small cash donation to cover the cost of processing. This will ensure that the equipment is recycled responsibly, and won't end up in a landfill, either here or overseas.

Donate Property

We'll be happy to accept almost any type of property as a donation, provided it has monetary value. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Vehicles
• Real Estate
• Electronics

We'll issue a receipt for the donation, which may qualify for a deduction against your taxes

Proceeds from the sale of donated property will be used to support our operating costs.
